Yes I know, everyone wants to know what happened to ole Tom.  Well wonderful boss #2 my Grecshner cooked Tom on his magic Traeger grill.

Turkey Gate 2011

The story unfolds Tuesday before the big day.  I get a call from my husbands amazing boss.  I was having a HORRIBLE day.  Full on tears and all.  So to add to my fury, J proceeds to tell me that for Thanksgiving he delivers live turkeys to all his employees...and he is in route to deliver my turkey....................................................................................................................I was getting a little nervous but once again got smacked down with work and forgot all about it until I received this email.  I am only going to give you the title and the first line.

It is about noon at this time and I pretty much am sure that he is joking.  Then other phone calls keep coming in and in the midst of my tears nervous breakdown, my mother in law calls me to tell me that there is a live turkey on my porch in a wire cage................................................I am in full panic mode.  J said to just let it graze in the yard...........................I am not an ungrateful person, I was figuring out in my head to keep it for a pet, or to have someone else clean it.  I could no imagine killing an animal. ESPECIALLY when this lives at my house.

So I asked the kids, and they told me that the bird who we have now named TOM is living in Zazu's room and Zazu is talking to him.  Bad enough Zazu was abused and nekid...but now getting attached to Tom.  All this is going on and Im trapped at work. 

So I haul it home and run in the house.  I was told Tom was put in this box.  So I go to open it and It was actually Kevin's shirts for work.  I found a nice zip up hoodie in there that I stole right away :)
Then I see the turkey.  It was dead.  At least no neck snapping had to occur.   J did come all he way to our house to deliver a turkey.  But it was not a live one thank the lord.  I was blessed to survive the day...and it definitely put a smile on my face.

Playing Catch up

This will just be a hodge podge of catching up.  Busy working mostly.  However, Halloween has come and gone.  We did have a little fun day at work.  A little pot luck and a few of us got in the spirit!
